Dog Obedience & Agility Training, KL

My Elayne jie started complaining to me why keep blogging about food? What other exciting places at KL? Hmm...it is true what she said as the main motive for me having this blog is to share what you might not know in KL. You maybe know about there are certain things but you do not know where. That's my true mission of my blog. So this time I will share with you about Dog Training. Opps...actually Elayne jie does not like dogs. Never mind, I will share to dog lovers here. Sorry, Elayne jie.

They have 3 training centers in KL which located at Puncak Jalil, Taman Desa and Wawasan Ampang. Most of us now will have at least a dog either is a toy dog, guardian dog or a scenthound. Dog has been a part of our common life, our best friend. We may know how to buy them, feed them, clean them and play with them. However, most of us may not know how to train them. Maybe some of you do not think their dogs need any training especially to those toy dog owners. If you think so, then you make a terrible mistake. Out of all kinds of dog, toy dog needs the training the most. This is because they do not have a natural discipline behavior compare with other type of dogs.

So you are probably convince now but you must be asking how old they need to start training? They can start training as young as 10 weeks old. For age 1 year and below, they are advised to go for an obedience training. Obedience training is to establish communication channel between owner and the dog. In addition, the dog also able to train to understand the owner's a series of command which are sit, stand, heel, down, stay and recall (Housebreaking Training/Toilet Training is available as per request).

When they have these basic command memorized, you can bring them to the next level which are Agility Training, Fly Ball Training, Clicker Training, Dog Trick Training and Doggie Dancing. By the end of all types of training, your dog will receive a certificate. There will be a convocation for dogs too!!! After that, you can decide to send your dog for competition. A competition is not about getting the reward. It is to create more opportunity for you to interact with your man's best friend. Learn to love them, understand them and you will get the return way more than your human friends. Believe me.

A trainer is teaching the basic move how to make your dog follow you when you walk. Seems like the golden retriever is not listening. Bad dog! Listen! Let's see what type of dogs we will see in the training center.

Sheepdog
"Master, are you done yet?" Very obedient right? Sitting there and watching over her master chit chatting with other aunties.

Beagle
This one is not that obedient. Lack of training still. Not good not good. Errr...how come looks like my dog? Oppss...sorry. Let me introduce to you my dog, Mojo. Mojo, say hi!

My Mojo has a family meeting to attend and it seems like does not went that well. Mojo, behave!

Australian Silky Terrier
Even ang moh bringing their dogs here for training. This Silky Terrier is from Australia so you know the master is an Australian. Welcome to Malaysia, doggy!

Jack Russell Terrier
This dog is very noisy! Keep barking non stop when his master leaving him by the fence. Poor dog...please hang in there.

Teddy Roosevelt Terrier
Don't worry. You have your cousin here too. Same fate. You are not alone ok? hehe...

Rottweiler
Hoho...you should know the size of a Rottweiler. This is nothing small. Her ang moh master keep saying she is very tame and friendly. Sorry, it looks deceiving. Better stay away...

Maltese
Can you see? This is called obedience. It stays there and not going anywhere until the master comes back. This is the fruit of the training. You will feel proud when you have a dog like this.
Schnauzer
Another example. All these are toy dogs and with very active behavior, you should know. Look how steady they are sitting there waiting for their master.

Pug
Waaaa...what is this Pug doing? Same. She is standing on a training table waiting for the master after she has been told to "stay". This dog stayed there for more than an hour until the master recall her. Can you believe it? The amusing part is when I was taking picture of her and playing with her. She totally ignore me and looking at her master steadily.

The cost of each training ranging from RM250 - RM400. Each training duration may take 1-2 hours depend on types of training. The whole course can takes up to 10 weeks to 3 months.
