Fun OK Cafe @Taman Connaught

During my days in Kuala Lumpur, there no other places given me so much memories but Fun OK Cafe at Taman Connaught, Cheras. I have been here for numerous times with different peoples which left me all sort of unique memories. Each time I am looking at this cafe from far, those memories will keep on flashing through my mind like a movie clip.

Actually it is just because do not have a decent cafe which is opened till late night around that area.

This was one of our best moments.
Colorful design which will just make your mood turns from bad to good.

My friend, Suyin will show us around the coolness of this cafe. So as you can see in this picture, their chairs are made from the toilet bowl. Creative right? But I hope she is not really got the feeling of poo poo there.
Curtain to create a privacy session in that area.
Oh yea, this place is designed in kids style but for adults to enjoy and to recall back our childhood moments. She is a good example.
Black Pepper Fried Udon

Overall: 3/5 - Very delicious with the black pepper to increase the taste with the spicy kick. Slightly salty thou.

Fish and chips

Overall: 4/5 - One of their signature here but their fish fillet cooked inconsistently because there were times they were good and sometimes they were a bit fishy.

Nasi Ayam Rendang

Overall: 4/5 - Very fragrance rice with the ayam rendang cooked in Chinese style which is not too spicy and a wonderful made star fried egg to increase the joy of having your food.

 Fun OK in Cantonese slang means "Go Home". A creative name suit this creative restaurant very well. This place is quite crowded when reaching midnight. Night owls from University College Sedaya International (UCSI) just love to roam in this area at that hour. Parking maybe hard to find during lunch and dinner time because not enough parking to accommodate all customers along that shop row. However it is slightly better when towards midnight as some of other shops already close and left Fun OK Cafe the only shop which is still in business at that hour. Wi-fi is available here.

 This place is recommended either couple or group gathering. Quite a noisy environment but I still will find my chance to revisit this wonderful cafe.

Sports Shooting Club Hatyai (SSC)

Most of people think if you travel to Hatyai and not visiting their temples, you are just wasting your time at Hatyai. As for my personal opinion, if you come to Hatyai and did not go to Sports Shooting Club (SSC) Hatyai to experience the shooting experience with a real gun, I think you are not just wasting your time at Hatyai but you are wasting your time being a human. You only live once and there is no better way to understand these guns than coming over to SSC.   Their gun selections are enough to satisfy your urge. From rifle, pistols, revolvers to shotguns. You would be surprised that their rifle is the cheapest. The price is stated from 890 baht nett for a 15 rounds.  I have tried the rifle, beretta and this Smith and Wesson 4506 .45 ACP. This 45 is my favorite among all with 50m shooting range and 8+1 capacity. One of the most expensive gun to rent here. Basically you are shooting at the target paper like this. Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! They have existing queen size or king size bed and extra bed can be requested. To get close and personal with the King of Fruit...the accommodation charges will be Deluxe Villa is charged at RM280/night and standard villa will cost you RM180/night. They only have 1 Deluxe Villa and 2 Standard Villa only. So it is very easy to be fully booked during the durian season. Kedai Makan Sek Me Choy, Salak Selatan

The first time I had my first black pepper Bak Kut Teh was at Sandakan. I never know there is one at Kuala Lumpur. I got to know it from Axian from his TV Programme, "Taste with Jason". The name of the restaurant is Kedai Makan Sek Me Choy. Even they have a space of three shop lots, their seats are still fully occupied. In the past, they were doing mining business. This is their old mining machine which they still keep it very well. Vegetable Rice @RM2.00 - You should try their vegetable which is very tasty. It is just cost RM1.00 more than their normal white rice. Merlion Park, Singapore

Driving in Singapore is really a pain especially the traffic congestion, parking hunting and speed cameras alert which is seems like everywhere. As for parking, weekdays parking is like vampire sucking all your money out from your wallet when the clock keeps ticking. Not just parking but their ERP toll is sucking the money out of your Autopass card too. However, I have realized that the best days to travel to Singapore is on weekends and especially on Sunday. ERP toll is free on Sundays. Parking rate are cheaper on Sundays and there are places are free parking too. Not much cars and peoples on the street on Sundays. Sunday is just perfect day at Singapore! Of course, if you plan to eat their buffets, Sunday will be not a suitable day as it will be super expensive. Kota Kinabalu doesn't have huge hawker center like you will see in Peninsular Malaysia or Kuching but I have to reckon that the best hawker center in Kota Kinabalu is in Kedai Kopi Lotus. Kedai Kopi Lotus themselves do serve their own food which was very terrible and beyond edible state. So do not eat anything from this restaurant. You just pick the stalls beside this restaurant. There are 4 stalls which I will introduce one by one to you but the only stall which will not be introduced is the stall which is selling Guo Tie ( a kind of dumplings) -  not my favorite. The best and the most popular stall of all is this chicken wing stall. Everyone is there lining up for them either taking away or dining there. You may need to wait for 15-20 minutes for it. What else you can do at Bukit Tinggi? After you past by the horse riding and rabbit farm, you will see a tol alike place where they will collect entrance fee. The charges are: Weekdays: RM10/pax (adult), RM8/pax (child) Weekends: RM12/pax (adult), RM10/pax (child) *child is 4-12 years old. Once you pay the entrance fee, you are able to access Japanese Tea House, Botanical Garden and Colmar Tropicale. Once you past by the tol alike, you will be facing a T junction where on your left is to Japanese Tea House and Botanical Garden while on your right is to Colmar Tropicale.
