Jonker Dessert, Kluang

Hey Kluang people, do you know Melaka's famous Ais Kacang at Jonker Street has come to Kluang? I am really excited to see this small hut with only 10 seats inside are selling the famous ais kacang. Suddenly I am so proud of Kluang to have someone to choose this place to open a branch here.

This is a branch from Melaka's Jonker Dessert. So please do expect an authentic Melaka recipe which supposed to be 152km away from us.
Apart of selling the ais kacang. They do sell food for lunch too. You really cannot survive in Kluang if just selling Ais Kacang only.
Start off with making a beautiful round shape shaved ice.
Pour evenly the specially homemade milk on the ice.
End with the delicious sticky Gula Melaka. I like how I did in this picture.

Overall: 4/5 - Ta da~~~ The delicious Ais Kacang (Melaka style) is born. The gula melaka taste the same like those I had in Melaka. I suddenly felt like I am at Melaka. However, this gula melaka is quite stickier than the one I used to eat at Restoran Nyonya Makko. It has its own purpose for that. The sticky gula melaka will eventually stick onto your spoon and when you keep scooping the ice which does not contain gula melaka with it, you will still taste the gula melaka. It is a brilliant idea!

Overall: 3/5 - Maybe a mango lover will like this but I still think the most basic JD Shaved Ice is better.

Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - Shiok ar! Sourish and spicy taste numb your mouth up but you just going to keep on eating without stopping. Extremely addictive and delicious! But with the price of RM4.50 for a bowl of Assam Laksa at Kluang is kind of expensive.

Overall: 2/5 - Taste bad but just a little over priced for me.

A small hut but full of customers. Their durian flavor is either hot selling or never exist because I never get the chance to taste it yet. The waiter keep telling me, "Sorry, no more durian." Arghhh...frustration! I am going there at 11.30am to make sure the durian flavor really does exist. Grrr...
