The benefit of travelling alone is meeting up new friends same like last year at Kota Kinabalu, I have met a group of Guilin girls and this time I met her and her friend from Szechuan. She prefer to present herself this way. LOL. Instead of taken them to the local specialties, I prefer to take them to an Italian Restaurant which is called Little Italy. Honestly, our western restaurants are way better than any western restaurant in China. The reason is because those restaurants in China is serving based on the local taste who is not easily accepting something different especially on food. Unlike in Malaysia, we are used to anything! So that's why we able to taste something near to the original taste.
Look at the crowd here! Hardly see any empty tables. FYI, this was Monday. I definitely never let my new friends down.

Overall: 4/5 - The best that I have tasted so far is this seafood soup! The reason is the soup is full of fresh seafood taste which does not carry any fishy taste because a nice amount of sourish taste it there to cover. Not just that, the seafood served was fresh! I can finished up the whole soup! Additional spaghetti @RM2.50++.

The soup comes with garlic bread. It is meant for you to dip the bread in the soup. Honestly, I can eat with just bread and the soup for my whole lunch or dinner because they are perfectly blend in! 2 pieces of garlic bread is just not enough!

Overall: 3/5 - You can forget about Pizza Hut for good. Usually after having two pieces of pizzas, I will be full but this pizza, I can easily finished up all by myself. The bread is so soft and thin! Delicious!

Overall: 3/5 - The delicious juicy cheese flowing out when you cut and even when you bite, it is so tasty! You won't feel queasy with the amount of cheese and I am not sure why. All I can say, this portion is good for one person and it is also nice to share with others for a bite!

Overall: 2/5 - Not all the food here is good and I made a mistake with this one. I do not feel they can blend in to be eaten like this. One is too sourish, one is too milky and one is too cheesy. The grand total is over queasy feeling. I can't finish them. My bad for the leftover.

Overall: 4/5 - I am very skeptical and have extreme high expectation especially over Tiramisu dessert. This is one good Tiramisu with more rums than the coffee powder taste. The cake is so soft and easily melt in our mouth. For my new friends, this is a new dessert for them. They never have a cake for their dessert and never even seen a Tiramisu yet! They started to survey where to have such Tiramisu in China after the meal. Good luck with that!

Overall: 2/5 - Claimed to be homemade but this is one lousy homemade dessert. It is quite hard for a cream caramel. I was expecting something like melt in my mouth feeling.

This is how crowded they can be especially during the dinner time.
Centrally located near the Jesselton point and at the corner of the row of shops. Do not miss this place whenever you are at Kota Kinabalu because you never going to regret it especially the service given by the manager was very attentive and I feel respect and proud.

Sports Shooting Club Hatyai (SSC)

Most of people think if you travel to Hatyai and not visiting their temples, you are just wasting your time at Hatyai. As for my personal opinion, if you come to Hatyai and did not go to Sports Shooting Club (SSC) Hatyai to experience the shooting experience with a real gun, I think you are not just wasting your time at Hatyai but you are wasting your time being a human. You only live once and there is no better way to understand these guns than coming over to SSC.   Their gun selections are enough to satisfy your urge. From rifle, pistols, revolvers to shotguns. You would be surprised that their rifle is the cheapest. The price is stated from 890 baht nett for a 15 rounds.  I have tried the rifle, beretta and this Smith and Wesson 4506 .45 ACP. This 45 is my favorite among all with 50m shooting range and 8+1 capacity. One of the most expensive gun to rent here. Basically you are shooting at the target paper like this. Champ's Bowling Centre, Sandakan

Not really much entertainment in Sandakan even though they are just beside the sea. No nice beach for water activities and the nearest island like Pulau Selingan and Turtle Island are about 90 minutes away. As for the town itself, basically is this bowling centre called Champ's which has a very nice and good condition bowling alley, bowling shoes and bowling bowls if to compare with bowling centres like in KL.  Not very big at all for their bowling centre which only has 12 lanes. Their shoes look so new! Here is a demonstration on how to bowl. Looks pro...I wonder how is the end result. So what do guys think? Is it a strike? They have a lounge here as well. And a cafe too! The price of the bowling is cost at RM4.80 per game per pax. We went at their most peak hours so their price basically has not much different than our KL City price. Kedai Makan Sek Me Choy, Salak Selatan

The first time I had my first black pepper Bak Kut Teh was at Sandakan. I never know there is one at Kuala Lumpur. I got to know it from Axian from his TV Programme, "Taste with Jason". The name of the restaurant is Kedai Makan Sek Me Choy. Even they have a space of three shop lots, their seats are still fully occupied. In the past, they were doing mining business. This is their old mining machine which they still keep it very well. Vegetable Rice @RM2.00 - You should try their vegetable which is very tasty. It is just cost RM1.00 more than their normal white rice. Have you ever stay in a Durian Farm before? No? At Bao Sheng Durian Farm, you can do it! This 6.7 acres durian farm has been established in Balik Pulau since 1959. It really took them full 60 years to get the fruit of their hard work. Their villa is well equipped with air-con, hot shower and LCD TV with hundreds of Blu-Ray quality movies in it! They have existing queen size or king size bed and extra bed can be requested. To get close and personal with the King of Fruit...the accommodation charges will be Deluxe Villa is charged at RM280/night and standard villa will cost you RM180/night. Driving in Singapore is really a pain especially the traffic congestion, parking hunting and speed cameras alert which is seems like everywhere. As for parking, weekdays parking is like vampire sucking all your money out from your wallet when the clock keeps ticking. Not just parking but their ERP toll is sucking the money out of your Autopass card too. However, I have realized that the best days to travel to Singapore is on weekends and especially on Sunday. ERP toll is free on Sundays. Parking rate are cheaper on Sundays and there are places are free parking too. Not much cars and peoples on the street on Sundays. Sunday is just perfect day at Singapore! Of course, if you plan to eat their buffets, Sunday will be not a suitable day as it will be super expensive. Kota Kinabalu doesn't have huge hawker center like you will see in Peninsular Malaysia or Kuching but I have to reckon that the best hawker center in Kota Kinabalu is in Kedai Kopi Lotus. Kedai Kopi Lotus themselves do serve their own food which was very terrible and beyond edible state. So do not eat anything from this restaurant. You just pick the stalls beside this restaurant. There are 4 stalls which I will introduce one by one to you but the only stall which will not be introduced is the stall which is selling Guo Tie ( a kind of dumplings) -  not my favorite. The best and the most popular stall of all is this chicken wing stall. Everyone is there lining up for them either taking away or dining there. You may need to wait for 15-20 minutes for it. At Kota Kinabalu, you may find Sheng Rou noodle is very common and famous among the local especially this Kedai Kopi Jia Siang which has a lot of customers roaming to their restaurant from day to night. Since they have a crowd like this, I have to make my point for it. Complimentary tofu for each ala-carte order. Tsate normal for me because I prefer a hot tofu. Sheng Rou Soup Noodle Outlook: 3/5 Creative: 3/5 Taste: 2/5 Overall: 2/5 - The ingredients are a lot but the noodle is plain and unimpressive. Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh, Kota Kinabalu

There are two best bak kut teh in Kota Kinabalu that I have known so far. One is known as Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh  and the other one is known as Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh. There are just located one street away from each other. However, both of them got the same jam packed customers as you can see from the picture above. You just cannot detect any available seat around. This is how good they are. The one and only chef in action to prepare the whole bak kut teh to all the patrons. The surprising part is the serving speed was extremely fast. Usually when you see so many people, you might think you will need to wait for quite some time but he can make sure you will get your food at the fastest speed. These are the prices after GST is imposed.  They do have other dishes to serve too apart of their famous Bak Kut Teh.
