Ete Cafe, Georgetown

From a special ops in Taiwan to become a pattiserie in Malaysia, this is a real big change for the owner of this very small cafe which is known as Ete Cafe. The owner is a couple who has received their Diploma in Patisserie in France. Now, they are not just selling their homemade desserts but also teaching people to make too. RM10,000 for a course...not cheap at all.
The other highlight is their coffee. All their coffee beans imported from all over the countries. The table and chairs in this cafe is all self made and pretty shaky plus shabby. You will have the feeling whether the chair can hold your weight if you are a little big in size. Furthermore, the cafe is very small with only 5-6 small tables only.
They do not have a coffee maker machine so their coffee are made from Siphon Coffee Maker. To those who prefers latte or cappuccino, it will be impossible with these because they do not have a machine to heat up the milk.
However, I am not a big fan of coffee so I decided to opt for a Flower Melon Green Tea @RM10.00/pot. Very refreshing and welcoming tea to have for the evening. You can request to add the water for free but the tea no longer good for the second round as you will be tasting the tea as plain as a water.
Mille-Feuille @RM15.00

Price: 3/5
Overall: 4/5 - You might usually see a Mille-Feuille which has berries in between such as strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. However, I prefer to be plain like this. You might think it is too queasy to have so much cream in it. Well, you will be surprised when I am telling you that it is not at all! Beacause the vanilla cream is made from pure vanilla which is imported. Soft and chill cream combined with crispy crust, I find this dessert pretty delightful! Highly recommended!

Creme Brulee @RM15.00
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 5/5
Taste: 4/5
Price: 2/5
Overall: 3/5 - Not just that I have the Green Tea flavor to be different than other ordinary Creme Brulee but it is the sugar which they torched on top of it is not very sweet at all like any other Creme Brulee. The layer of sweet is very thin which you barely feel they existed and it blends well with the green tea flavor. Another well done dessert. They have another Creme Brulee in mango flavor. I will try that next time.

Quiche @RM10.00
Outlook: 4/5

Taste: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Overall: 3/5 - Not too cheesy and full of mushrooms to chew on in it. They really never stingy with the ingredients to put in it.

Macaroons (peppermint) @RM6.00/pc or RM15.00 for 3 pieces
Outlook: 4/5
Creativity: 4/5
Taste: 5/5
Price: 1/5
Overall: 3/5 - I never like macaroons because they are an overly sweet dessert for me but I do not know why I would like to give some hope to give them another chance on that day. Fortunately, I did! Ete Cafe makes me understand why Macaroons is loved by everyone. The sweetness level in this macaroons were just nice. The crispy and crunchy side of it almost make you to put the whole thing in your mouth. But don't! You are advised to enjoy this small dessert in 3-4 bites. However, the price is so much expensive than out there.

Overall, this cafe does served a good desserts and they have different desserts everyday which depends on what their kitchen is making on that particular day. So everyday is a surprise. However, their price is very expensive but they said because the ingredients were used are imported and genuine. They want to make sure their customers are having a healthy and delicious desserts. Okay, I buy your reason.
